The BC Sports Hall of Fame educates and entertains through its programs and collections by telling stories of outstanding achievements in sport in British Columbia. TH= SUM, in partnership with Kei Space, worked together with the BC Sports Hall of Fame on their signature exhibit celebrating the 60th anniversary of the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games.

TH= SUM was responsible for the creative direction and design of exhibit graphics and strived to retain the nostalgia of the times while giving it a modern feel. Colour and imagery were inspired by the original graphics created for the Games and media and artifacts combined within the exhibit brought the Games back to life for past athletes of the 1954 Games and visitors alike.

Attendease is every event planner’s dream. It handles everything from creating an event website, schedules, registration forms and managing results all in one place: on the mobile web.

Working together with our talented friends at Coverall Crew, TH= SUM developed a fun and memorable brand that connects users with this awesome event planning platform. Using a custom designed font and iconic illustration style, we wanted to make the brand approachable and flexible to use throughout digital + print formats.

TH= SUM provided creative direction for the marketing website and user admin/control panel in a way that would be easy to use and carry the brand throughout every detail.

Located at the Vancouver Airport, the Larry Berg – Flight Path Park was renamed to honour the retiring CEO of the Vancouver Airport Authority’s role in creating community-oriented amenities within YVR.

Flight Path Park, provides an opportunity for viewing planes and creates a community gathering place for residents and visitors. The central feature of the park, the globe, allows visitors to interact with the structure while learning about YVR’s role in connecting people from around the world. Benches shaped as paper airplanes also provide a whimsical element to the space.

TH= SUM worked with Ken Heit Creative and Kei Space to assist in conceptualizing the central feature of the park and detailing renderings for this project.

The Sum was contacted by Icebreaker’s Vancouver headquarters to help re-design their current staff retail home page and update the visuals within the site. The objective: Design a home page with a clear navigational direction, which would either encourage new staff to take an online training course or guide trained staff into their retail section where they could find great deals and promotions.

As one of eight Master Instructors of the Speech Level Singing™ technique in the world, Spencer Welch is an expert in vocal development and application.

The goal was to freshen up the look of his old site and to use the screen real estate in a more effective way. We transformed the home page into a “billboard” of easy-to-access information that gives potential and current students a snapshot of Spencer Welch Vocal Studio (SWVS) and guides them through the various resources offered through site. The Sum worked collaboratively with the client to organize the content and give it a clear visual hierarchy to ensure smooth navigation and access. Click here to check it out!
